Andrea book parlor 1

I am very excited to be doing another book reading at The Book Parlor on Saturday, January 17th at 3 in the afternoon. It is located at 1425 W. Broadway. I hope that some of you can join me!

Consignment Books at Auntie’s

Last Saturday I got a check in the mail from Auntie’s Bookstore. They have sold 13 of my books (since my book reading on the 20th) and sent me a check for my portion of the sales. Pretty Cool!

My A-Team

Here I am at Auntie’s after my successful book reading with an incredible ‘A-Team’. Jeanne (far right) has been working with me since graduating from Images and has never given up on my dream of being a storybook reader to kids. She is responsible for my working at Rainbow Connection Daycare and Parkview Daycare. Katie (far left) is my job coach and works with me at Parkview Daycare. She is also pretty good at computer stuff. And Tim is my idea man. He is the one that asked me about 4 years ago, if I had ever considered writing a book. Here I am now, a published author, reading my first book at Auntie’s. Dreams really do come true!

Fun at Auntie’s

Saturday the 20th of December was my book reading at Auntie’s. I had a great time. Jess at Auntie’s was a great help and I want to thank all my friends and family that were able to come. My Grandpa and Grandma Weber, Aunt Janet, and my brother Paul and his family were all there; along with some good friends, Free Rein and Guild School friends and a past teacher. It was a great success! If anyone is in Auntie’s, they will be able to purchase my book there.

Auntie’s Book Store

Tomorrow is my book reading at Auntie’s Book Store at 3:00 p.m.!  I am so excited. It sounds like a lot of my friends will be coming. I even bought a new blouse to wear with my black suit.

Website Sales!

I am so excited to say that I have sold 5 of my books through the website. Four went to family and friends and the other book was ordered by the Spokane County Library. My friend, Darla, who was one of my internet sales, mentioned my book to a lady she knows that works for the Spokane County Library. They ordered one of my books! It would be so cool if every library in Spokane County had a Free Rein’in with Chester.

Oops!

old riding helmet  Friday the 15th of August at riding, Chester and I were headed back to the barn when my helmet needed an adjustment. Susan, my side walker, pushed it up a little using the brim, and it cracked! I had been planning on purchasing a new helmet this winter, as my helmet will be five years old at that time. The life time of a helmet is five years. Needless to say, I need to buy a new one now. By the time, I had dismounted, the cracked brim had fallen off! So, a shopping trip to The Tack Trunk was planned.

Launch Party

I Love a Party! Friday, July 11th, we are having a Launch Party to introduce my book! It is going to be at the Free Rein barn located at 8118 S. Ramona Road in Spokane from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. I am going to be doing a demonstration ride with Chester at 6:15. Cake and lemonade will be served; and of course, you can pick up a copy of my book! I also got a new outfit to wear!

Hot Off the Press!

Thursday afternoon, we took dad’s truck to Grey Dog Press and picked up 4 boxes of ‘Free Rein-in with Chester’!  Grandma and grandpa Weber met us there to share in the occasion. Many thanks to Russ Davis at Grey Dog Press for all of his help and expertise; and his donation of his time for the printing.

We are now hard at work setting up the website so the book can be purchased there, and planning a PARTY! We are going to have a Launch Party on July 11 at the Free Rein Barn. I will keep you informed as to the progress of all that is going on.

Russ, my books and Me

FIRST PRINTING

Today, we met with Russ Davis at Gray Dog Press and ordered the first printing of MY BOOK!  He anticipated it taking only about a week or a little more to get them published. Now the real work starts. Setting up my website to sell books, and getting them out to the public.
